Evanston Public Library and The Big Read presents: Pulitzer Prize Finalist Luis Alberto Urrea, author of Into the Beautiful North

Wednesday, March 9, 7 pm, Auditorium

Evanston Township High School, 1600 Dodge Avenue

Luis Alberto Urrea shares a story of transformation from his beginnings on the dirt streets of Tijuana to Pulitzer Prize finalist and beloved storyteller. The author of fourteen books including The Devil’s Highway and The Hummingbird’s Daughter, Urrea is recognized as a writer who concentrates on the border regions of the Southwestern United States. He invites us to think of the border as a place where meaningful conversations, and even love, between cultures begins. After the event, Urrea will sign books which will be for sale.
