Evanston Signs 5-Year Deal With North Shore Towing

Oakton Street towing company will work with city through 2021.

EVANSTON, IL - An Evanston-based towing company will provide towing services to the city for the next five years.

The Evanston City Council this week approved a recommendation from the city's Transportation and Parking committee to enter into a contract with North Shore Towing, 2527 Oakton Street that begins Oct. 1 of this year and runs through Sept. 30, 2021.

The agreement is a single source, meaning the city won't contract with another towing company during this time.

To pay for the company's services, the city will spend approximately $45,000 a year. The funds will be provided through the city's Parking Enforcement general fund.

No one on the City Council objected to the agreement, as it was approved on the consent agenda of Monday night's meeting.
