Evanston's Wish List: Free Beaches, Middle Eastern Food, Marinas

EVANSTON, IL - The city of Evanston boasts some pretty cool features.

Five public beaches, a lighthouse, a world-class university and unique and historic neighborhoods.

But it doesn’t have it all, and residents made that known in a recent Evanston Patch Facebook call out seeking which things, if any, they’d like to steal from neighboring towns.

We specifically mentioned Chicago, Skokie and Wilmette, but the suggestions could have come from anywhere. Here’s what some of our Facebook fans had to say on what they’d like to bring across the border to Evanston.

• Free beach access! (a few suggestions for this).
• Free dog beach
• Reza's restaurant. Best middle eastern food ever.
• Marinas
• Honest elected officials (we are presuming the commenter did not mean the ones from Chicago, or maybe he did).
• Flywheel Sports
