Ex Stabs New Boyfriend As He Helps Retrieve Property: Police
A man helping his girlfriend get property back from an ex-boyfriend was stabbed in Evanston Tuesday, police said.

EVANSTON, IL — Police are seeking a suspect in connection a Tuesday morning stabbing incident in Evanston. According to Evanston Police Cmdr. Joseph Dugan, police got a call of a person stabbed in the 1400 block of Emerson Street at 10:38 a.m.
Officers found a 26-year-old Chicago man had been stabbed in the chest, Dugan said. The bloodied man was taken to Evanston Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police said the man and his girlfriend had gone to an Evanston residence in order to get some property back from her ex-boyfriend. The suspect was not immediately located, and Evanston detectives are continuing to investigate.
