Fifth Third Bank to Close Downtown Evanston Branch
Customers will be directed to use the branch on Main Street, which is staying put.
The Fifth Third Bank branch at 1710 Maple Ave. in downtown Evanston will permanently close in October.
A letter to customers indicated the last day for the branch will be Wednesday, October 28, according to Evanston Now. The letter suggested customers use the branch at 2440 Main St.
Earlier this year, the Cincinnati-based bank announced it will close 100 of its 1,300 branches nationwide.
