Former Winnetka Village President to Join Powell Foundation Board
Jessica Tucker Newest Member of Forrest E. Powell Foundation Board

Jessica Tucker, a litigation attorney, and former Winnetka Village President has joined the Forrest E. Powell Foundation Board. She currently serves as an Arbitration Panelist for the Cook County Mandatory Arbitration Program and has been involved in both community and school activities for many years. In 2013 she was the recipient of the New Trier Township George E. Noyes Community Spirit Award for both her community service and charitable work.
Forrest E. Powell Foundation founder, Hecky Powell of Evanston, said, “We are very pleased to have Jessica join our Foundation Board. The Foundation’s primary mission is to build and support the Evanston Work Ethic Program, a newly-launched organization that helps high school students find and navigate a path toward in-demand, high paying tech careers.” Powell added, “Jessica’s government experience is a plus for all of us, supporters and students”.
Tucker, who lives in Winnetka with her husband, Creed, and their three children, added, “I am thrilled and honored to join such a prestigious Foundation, one that cherishes the memory of a beloved father and honors his commitment to community, family and spirituality. I look forward to working with the Forrest E. Powell Foundation to inspire and assist others to achieve their dreams.”

The Evanston Work Ethic Program (WE Program) was founded in 2016, an outgrowth of the Forrest E. Powell Foundation. It is built on the premise that many successful career paths, now and in the future, will not require a four-year college degree. Students are matched with high powered mentors in specific career and tech fields. Paid apprenticeships, career-readiness workshops, and scholarships are also important elements of the WE Program.
