The Forward 4 Tobi Foundation Gifts $50,000 to Establish Fund for Patients at NorthShore University HealthSystem Kellogg Cancer Center
This generous donation will enable the creation of the Forward 4 Tobi Patient Assistance Fund to help patients battling breast cancer.

On March 6, 2015, the Forward 4 Tobi Foundation presented NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore) Kellogg Cancer Center with a check for $50,000. This generous donation will enable the creation of the Forward 4 Tobi Patient Assistance Fund to help patients battling breast cancer enhance their quality of life by providing much-needed financial assistance during their treatment. Common expenses may include vital medicines not covered by insurance, integrative medical services, attendance at cancer conferences, travel expenses for clinical trials, housekeeping costs and child care costs.
The mission of the Forward 4 Tobi Foundation is to “improve the lives of patients suffering from breast cancer by providing financial assistance for medical expenses, child care and other daily unmet needs so they may focus on fighting this insidious disease.” The Foundation is named for Tobi Klonecki, a special wife, mother and friend who lost her life to breast cancer on May 7, 2013.
“Tobi thought of herself as ‘lucky,’ because she had the family, friends and financial means to deal with the daily struggles of breast cancer,” said Jennifer Bott of the Forward 4 Tobi Foundation. “The establishment of the Forward 4 Tobi Patient Assistance Fund will allow Tobi’s legacy to live on by providing financial assistance to those patients at the Kellogg Cancer Center who need it most.”
