Foundation 65 Grant to Support Arts, Literacy

Schools in Evanston and Skokie will benefit from the monetary award.

A $235,000 grant from Foundation 65 will support literacy and arts programs in Evanston and Skokie schools.

Among the programs to be funded by the award are Advancing Literacy for ALL, Kindergarten Literacy Education at Play and summer reading programs, according to Evanston Now.

Building Digital Literacy: Summer Media Artists Studio, another project supported by the grant, will allow District 65 students to learn about 3D design and 3D printing.

“Foundation 65 is a valued partner to our school district and their support has provided our students with amazing enrichment opportunities.” Superintendent Paul Goren said. “We are so grateful for this generous support.”
