Free Beach Days Planned in Evanston as Season Closes
Two city beaches will be free on the final two Mondays before Labor Day.

The end of the swimming season in Evanston is near, but a pair of opportunities remain to visit two Evanston beaches for free.
The city is encouraging residents to take advantage of the free beach days, on Monday, August 24 and Monday, August 31, at Greenwood Street and Clark Street beaches.
The city also notes seasonal lifeguard and beach staff are heading back to school, so Clark Street and South Boulevard beached will only be open to the public for swimming on weekdays from 4:30-7:30 p.m. from Monday, August 24 to Friday, August 28 and the next week, from Monday, August 31 to Friday, September 4.
