Free Ice Cream, Music And Magic Show In Evanston

Annual Evanston History Center Ice Cream Social takes place this Saturday at the Dawes House.

EVANSTON, IL — Come out for free ice cream, free magic and free admission to the Dawes House Saturday afternoon for the Evanston History Center's annual Ice Cream Social. Members of the community have been invited to come listen to music, enjoy a free serving of Andy's Frozen Custard and watch a hilarious and entertaining magic show from Kevin Kelly. There will also be kids' games, popcorn and lemonade, according to organizers.

The event is scheduled to run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Evanston History Center, 225 Greenwood Street in Evanston. The Dawes House will be open for self-guided tours and viewing of exhibits throughout the event.

Throughout the event, free Andy's Frozen Custard will be served from the WSHE-FM Treat Truck, which includes a prize wheel offering attendees a chance to spin to win.
