'Fun Run' For Fallen Evanston Firefighter is Sunday

The 30th annual Marty F. Leoni Fun Run will take place on Sunday, October 18 at 8:30 a.m. and begin at the Evanston Fire Department headquarters at 909 Lake St.

All proceeds will benefit the Marty Leoni Memorial Fund. Evanston Firefighter/Paramedic Marty Leoni lost his life in the line of duty at a fire at 1927 Jackson St. in Evanston on July 22, 1985.

Refreshments will follow the 3-mile run. Event t-shirts may be purchased on site. This free event is open to all ages with no registration necessary.
