Future Of Harley Clarke Mansion Is Focus Of Meeting

Evanston to hold a community meeting on future of Harley Clarke Mansion this month.

EVANSTON, IL — As a result of a vote in the Evanston City Council last September, Evanston's Parks and Recreation Board and the Lighthouse Landing Complex Committee were asked to develop a plan for the future operation of the Harley Clarke property. Members of both those groups have been meeting on a monthly basis with interested residents to discuss proposals for the property.

In particular, the committee has focused on a proposal for an environmental education center developed by Evanston Lakehouse and Gardens.

Residents have been invited to a meeting later this month to see a presentation and share their thoughts about the proposed environmental education center as well as the financial plan behind it.
