Nicor’s contractor, USIC, will work to locate all public utilities, such as electric, water, sewer, and gas lines. Residents in the area may be needed to provide workers access to lines in their house. All Nicor crews and hired contractors will have Nicor issued ID cards and will present them if requested.

All sprinkler systems should be identified and marked with a flag by the property owner prior at the start of construction to prevent damages.
Once new gas services are installed, UMI, another Nicor Contractor, will begin scheduling the installation of the new gas meters outside. Old gas meters will be removed from properties.
During construction, parking will be restricted as needed and traffic control will be onsite to provide safety for motorists and pedestrians.
