Gender Neutral Signs Coming to Evanston Restrooms
Ordinance approved by city aldermen this week.

Single-occupancy public restrooms in Evanston will get new gender-neutral signs.
City aldermen unanimously approved an ordinance Monday, according to Evanston Now.
There will be no change in signage for multi-occupancy restrooms. Under the state’s human rights act, residents are allowed to use whatever restroom is consistent with their own gender identity.
