The Golden Age of Rush Street Revisited with Author David Floodstrand

Join vocalist and author David Floodstrand for a multimedia presentation, PowerPoint, slides, and a discussion on his upcoming book "Rush Street, Chicago's Street of Dreams", chronicling the history of Chicago's famed Rush Street area. A live performance featuring music from "the golden age of Rush Street", will be included. David will read excerpts from the book, and perform music from the 1950's and 60's that one might have heard in venues like Mister Kelly's, The Backroom, London House, Acorn on Oak, The Playboy Club, and many more, with accompaniment by pianist Jordan Baskin.
