Henry Klein, Longtime Teacher at ETHS, Dies

Henry Klein, 89, died November 18 in Evanston. Beloved husband of the late Renata, nee Plaut.

Loving father of Susan (Roy Crummer) Klein, Margaret (Del) Larkin, Matthew (Gail) Klein, and the late Elizabeth (Scott) Green. Proud grandfather of Peter and Andrew Green, and Michelle, Alexander, and Evan Klein.

Mr. Klein was a teacher at Evanston Township High School (ETHS) for more than 30 years. He was an avid reader, and an active docent with the Chicago Architecture Foundation (CAF), and a former member of the Beth Emet board of directors. He attended McKinley High School in Canton, Ohio, Miami University, and Yale Graduate School where he received a Masters degree.

Service Monday 1:30 PM at Beth Emet- The Free Synagogue, 1224 W. Dempster St., Evanston, IL 60202. Interment Memorial Park.
