Amongst all the bad things going on in the world,we have to commend our youth that are staying focused. The Juneteenth Celebration showcased this very example, attended by our very own Mayor Tisdale , it showed our youth are doing more than hanging in the streets and causing trouble. With a variety of talented poets that would have made Maya Angelou proud. I believe the standouts for the celebration would have to be The Tabernacle Youth Choir and their rendition of the song "Stranger". A job Very Well done also by the youth of Y.A.M.(The Youth Action Ministry). Let's Applaud these youth in keeping with the saying"Keeping Their Eyes On The Prize".
