Kiwanis Club of Evanston golf outing raises over $8000 for youth and kids groups in Evanston

KIWANIS CLUB OF EVANSTON GOLF OUTING RAISES FUNDS FOR EVANSTON YOUTH AND CHILDREN
The Kiwanis Club of Evanston celebrated its 17th annual Beat the Streets golf outing on Friday, June 30. The event benefits the Evanston School of Wrestling at Evanston Township High School and several other youth and child -centered organizations in Evanston. The golf outing, which earned over $8000, is the primary fund raiser for these distributions which also include the Evanston Symphony, the Evanston History Center and several other cultural, athletic and educational organizations.

Held at Willow Hill Golf Club in Northbrook, the players enjoy the 9 hole shotgun start which allows many to get back to the office by early afternoon. A raffle with over 40 exciting prizes provided lots of excitement, as well as a live auction featuring jerseys from the Bulls and the Blackhawks and a commemorative brick from ETHS. Nobody beats the lunch from Curt’s Café…the chocolate chip cookies are always the first to go.
