Both students and Kiwanis members have benefitted from learning about each other’s goals. The awards are named after the late Ted VanZelst, an Evanston businessman, humanitarian and art collector. Each student receives a certificate of recognition, a book on leadership and a $25 gift certificate to Barnes & Noble.
