Knife-Wielding Bearded Bald Man Robs Evanston CVS
Police are seeking help identifying the suspect from an armed robbery reported at the CVS on Asbury Wednesday night.

EVANSTON, IL — Police are looking for a man who allegedly robbed an Evanston CVS at knife-point Wednesday night and have released photos of the suspect. Cops were called to the CVS at 101 Asbury Ave. around 11:43 p.m. and told a robbery had just occurred, according to Evanston Police Cmdr. Joseph Dugan.
The suspect approached the check-out area with some candy bars in hand, the cashier told police. He then brandished a knife and came behind the counter, asking the 49-year-old woman working the register to open up its drawer. She complied and the man took cash from inside. The amount of money taken is not currently known, according to Dugan. No one was injured during the incident.
The robber then fled the store on foot, heading northbound on Asbury Avenue. The suspect was described as between 35 and 40 years old, bald and with a beard. He wearing a dark dress shirt and blue jeans. Police released still images captured from the CVS security footage to the public in the hopes of identifying the man. The Evanston Police Department asked anyone anyone with any information about the suspect or the incident to call 847-866-5040 or Text-A-Tip by texting CRIMES (274637) and entering EPDTIP in the message line, followed by the tip information.
