Lanes Reduced on Church Street for Week After Labor Day
Masonry repairs at First United Methodist Church could mean slow traffic in the area for the week after Labor Day.

EVANSTON, IL - Post-Labor Day time in Evanston means open and free beaches, but the traffic congestion does not go away.
Lanes will be reduced by one on Church Street from Hinman Avenue to the alley east of Chicago Avenue from Tuesday, Sept. 6 through Saturday, Sept. 10, according to a city news release.
The closures, scheduled to be in place from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, have been planned due to masonry repairs taking place during those times at First United Methodist Church.
