Light the Menorah on December 10 in Evanston
Annual Chanukah celebration at Fountain Square will include business, community leaders.
The Grand Chanukah Menorah Lighting and Celebration is Evanston is planned for 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 10 at Fountain Square.
Community members and civic and business leaders will join Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl for the ceremony on Davis Street between Orrington and Sherman avenues.
According to a city news release, the ceremony will celebrate the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil, and freedom of conscience over oppression.
