Linz & Vail Sold to Brothers K Owner
Hot spot for coffee on Central Street becomes Backlot Coffee.
Evanston, IL - One of Evanston’s most popular coffee shops has changed its name after an ownership change.
Linz & Vail, a recent staple at 2012 Central St. is now Backlot Coffee after new owners John Kim and Isaac Bloom purchased the place, according to Evanston Now.
Kim also owns the popular Brothers K Coffeehouse in south Evanston with his brother, Brian. He once owned the Other Brother Coffeehouse in downtown Evanston as well.

Stumptown Coffee Roasters, a specialty coffee company with several direct trade partnerships with growers around the world, will be a provider at Backlot.
