Local jewelry artist is now open for business!

Longtime Evanston artist Noël Yovovich is now part of Ausine's Arts Room on Florence Avenue near Greenleaf Street in Evanston.

Longtime Evanston artist and resident Noël Yovovich has joined Ausrine Kerr at Ausrine's Arts Room, a beautiful storefront gallery, studio and classroom space located at 1233 Florence Avenue in the hottest up-and-coming arts neighborhood in Evanston. After many years of teaching jewelry-making classes at the Evanston Art Center and elsewhere around the country, Yovovich is offering her one-of-a-kind jewelry in this shared space, as well as teaching her skills to students from teen upwards. At the moment, she has openings to teach one-on-one to students wishing to learn metalsmithing and jewelry at any level, but plans to offer small classes and project-based workshops in the new year.

The Arts Room will be open most afternoons until Christmas (hours can be seen on the announcement above) as well as by appointment or chance. Yovovich specializes in nature-based jewelry with a special emphasis on mixed metals including colorful anodized titanium. From light and lively bird earrings to complex hand-pierced overlays in sterling silver with gold and gems, this work is unlike any other jeweler.

Plan to come to an upcoming pop-up arts event and studio open house on Florence Avenue on December 9th from 5pm-9pm! There will be wine, snacks and sweets, and a broad variety of art on display and sale, so here's your opportunity to shop local, support the growth of the arts in Evanston, and get to know this hidden gem of an Evanston neighborhood! Stop in and say hello to the newest artist on the block! And while you are there, try on a piece of unique art jewelry made right here in the heart of Evanston.
