Man With 5 Warrants, 9 Failures To Appear In Court Remains Jailed
Following his arrest in Evanston, he faces charges related to firearms, dealing drugs and breaking into a home to steal cash and shoes.

SKOKIE, IL — A man who was arrested in Evanston last weekend faces fresh felony charges after being found to have five active warrants, issued by three Illinois counties, as well as ammunition and drug dealing supplies. Ahead of his most recent arrest, the former Skokie resident allegedly gave cops a fake name after they pulled over a car he was riding in around Saturday, but the officer recognized him from a state police alert. At that point, he took off running, police said, making it about a block before cops took him into custody.
Kejuan K. Little, 28, of the 2200 block of Ezekial Avenue in Zion, was taken into custody at 8:44 p.m. in the 1200 block of Lee Street on the warrants and charged with two counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon – in a car, and by a felon – and possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver.
According to police and court records, police found a backpack in the car containing ammunition and drug-dealing supplies including an ounce of marijuana, 150 plastic baggies and a scale after pulling over a black Chevy Malibu for running a red light at the intersection of Main Street and Ashland Avenue. Little made a "partial admission" that the backpack was his, and his hair was allegedly found on brushes within the bag.

At a bond hearing Monday in Skokie, prosecutors said Little has failed to appear for court at least nine times. Cook County Circuit Judge Aleksandra Gillespie set Little's bail in connection with his four separate cases in the county. Friday, he remained held at Cook County Jail in lieu of a posting $27,500 in cash as bond.
In addition to the new felony charges, Little also awaits trial in connection with a 2015 residential burglary. In that incident, according to court records, he was accused of breaking into a home in the 2100 block of Emerson Street in Evanston and stealing $2,000 in cash and four pairs of Nike shoes worth $800.

The Sheriff's office said he is also facing two active detainers from Lake County, where he's accused of resisting police and obstructing justice in connection with a May 5 incident, and Champaign County, where he was accused of speeding with a revoked license back in 2014 and forfeited his bond for not showing up to court.
Little is due back in court in Skokie on June 6 in connection with the charges he faces in Cook County.
