Man Charged With Dealing Drugs out of Home on Forest Ave.

A 20-year old was charged with 3 felonies after police say they made two undercover drug buys.

EVANSTON, IL - A 20-year man Evanston man was arrested Monday in an undercover drug buy sting on Forest Avenue.

Hari H. Lele, 20 was charged with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance, intent to deliver cannabis and unlawful possession of cannabis in the 1200 block of Forest Avenue after the conclusion of an investigation that began when neighbors complained about illegal drug sales taking place out of a single family home on the block

According to police, an undercover officer bought drugs from Lele - who lives at the home - two different times. During a search of the home, cops found about 35 grams of cannabis and a “small amount of U.S. currency that is believed to be proceeds from drug sales.”
