Man Cited For Possession Of BB Gun, Public Nudity
A 58-year-old Evanston resident first picked up a ticket for having a replica handgun before being cited for handling his genitalia.

EVANSTON, IL — In less than 14 hours, cops were called twice on the same 58-year-old Evanston man, who wound up with two tickets for local ordinance violations. In the first incident, officers were dispatched to the man's block around 12:36 a.m. on Sunday. Police had received a report that a man was walking around with a gun and saying "Pow Pow," according to Evanston Police Cmdr. Joseph Dugan.
Police found the man sitting on a chair on a porch in the 1900 block of Jackson Avenue and found a BB-gun pistol that looks like a handgun. The man was taken into custody and charged with a city ordinace violation for possessing an air rifle.
Then, just before 3 p.m. that afternoon, police were called to the 1700 block of Maple Avenue for a report that a man was masturbating in public. (Get Patch real-time email alerts for the latest news for Evanston — or your community. And iPhone users: Check out Patch's new app.)
