Man Falls To Death In Construction Accident At Northwestern University: Police
A man operating equipment atop a building at Northwestern University fell four stories and was pronounced dead.
EVANSTON, IL — A man doing construction work on the roof of a Northwestern University building died Thursday afternoon after falling approximately four stories, according to the Evanston Police Department.
The 57-year-old man was a contractor who had been operating equipment before he fell. First responders arrived at the scene at 3:26 p.m. at the Northwestern University Allen Center at 2169 Campus Drive.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Police and university personnel are working to fully investigate the man's death. The other construction contractors who were on site are cooperating with the investigation, police said.
Authorities don't believe there was any criminal activity connected to the man's death.
