Man Shot in Evanston Friday Night
Alleged gunman and victim both hospitalized after Monroe Street incident.

A Friday-night shooting in Evanston put two men into the hospital, including the alleged shooter. Evanston Police Cmdr. Joseph Dugan told the Chicago Tribune that the shooting took place inside a residence at 9:30 p.m. in the 1700 block of Monroe Street, where a 23-year-old man was shot in the leg.
The 25-year-old alleged gunman was then hurt by others where the shooting took place. The Chicago Sun-Times reports that the shooting took place during a party at the home.
The 23-year old was taken to Evanston Hospital, and police continue to investigate. The accused shooter was taken to Presence Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston.
