Maxwell Style Grill Opens Thursday on Howard Street

New restaurant at old Dairy Queen building is painted in "ketchup and mustard" colors.

EVANSTON, IL - The Howard Street comeback will take another step forward Thursday as a Maxwell Style Grill will open at the former Dairy Queen building at 999 Howard Street.

The new restaurant with ketchup and mustard colors on the outside will offer burgers, polish sandwiches and pork chops among other options, according to Evanston Now. Milk shakes and ice cream will also help make up the menu.

Work on revamping the old Dairy Queen building and the parking lot that surrounds it began last summer when the restaurant announced plans to open there and city officials allowed a special use request to move forward.
