Mayor Says 2 Candidates Would Be 'Excellent' Successors
Evanston Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl touts candidacy of two who seek to succeed her in city's highest political office.

EVANSTON, IL - Evanston Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl briefly addressed next year's race to succeed her in the city's highest political office in a phone interview with Patch this week.
Tisdahl, who announced earlier this year she will not run for reelection, said both 6th Ward Ald. Mark Tendam and local entrepreneur Steve Hagerty are both "excellent" candidates.
She did not offer specifics on what makes the two solid candidates and did not mention 9th Ward Ald. Brian Miller, who has also declared his candidacy for the position in 2017.
