Meet-and-Greet Scheduled for Evanston Political Candidates

EVANSTON, IL - All Evanstonians are invited to attend a meet-and-greet scheduled to allow residents to be introduced to those seeking political offices in the 2017 city election.

About three-fourths of the candidates seeking the offices below have confirmed their attendance at Reba Place Church, 620 Madison St. in Evanston on Wednesday, Dec. 7 from 7-9 p.m.

For the first hour, residents will meet and greet the candidates. During the second hour, they will hear three-minute introductions from each.

The following are the known candidates for political offices in Evanston in the April 2017 election.

Mayor: Steve Haggerty, Brian Miller, Mark Tendam and Gary Gaspar

1st Ward: Judy Fiske

2nd Ward: Peter Braithwaite

3rd Ward: Melissa Wynne, Alex Morgan, and Alex Block

4th Ward: Don Wilson

5th Ward: Robin Simmons, Carolyn Murray, Daniel Featherson, and Carliss Sutton

6th Ward: Mark Sloan, Virginia Mann and Tom Sufferidin

7th Ward: Eleanor Revell

8th Ward: Ann Rainey and Rob Bady

9th Ward: Cicely Fleming, Shawn Jones, and Schona Buranda
