Meeting Planned to Discuss Impact of Domestic Violence in Evanston
Peaceable Cities Evanston plans a panel discussion at the Levy Senior Center.

EVANSTON, IL - A panel discussion on domestic violence is planned for early December at the Levy Senior Center in Evanston.
Several presenters will be present from a variety of organizations at the event organized by Peaceable Cities Evanston, according to a city news release.
"Domestic Violence: Causes, Impacts and Solutions" will be held from 6-8 p.m. in the senior center's Linden Room at 300 Dodge Ave.

Topics that will be discussed include how domestic violence impacts youth and families, the causes of offender behavior and early intervention strategies, how often these incidents occur in Evanston and how the community should respond.
A similar meeting was planned for late October at the Gibbs-Morrison Cultural Center, but city officials chose to cancel it in favor of watching the Chicago Cubs in Game 1 of the World Series.
