Menorah at Fountain Square Lit to Celebrate Hanukkah
More than 100 attend Festival of Lights and Freedom celebration in Evanston

More than 100 people of all faiths gathered at Fountain Square in Evanston on Thursday to light the menorah as part of the city’s Hanukkah celebration.
Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights and Freedom, lasts from December 16-24 this year.
The Evanston Review reported even as snow flurries were in the air, the mood was “upbeat and warm” as the Cheder Boys Choir sang and Menorah candles were handed out.
