Model From Evanston Killed in Englewood Shooting

An Evanston woman who recently won a “Make Me a Model” beauty competition was shot and killed in Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood Monday night.
Chicago police say an Evanston woman was killed Monday night in a shooting in the Englewood neighborhood on Chicago’s south side.
Kaylyn Pryor, 20 was struck in the right armpit around 6:20 p.m. in the 7300 block of South May Street and died a short time later at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to ABC-7-Chicago. A 15-year-old boy who was shot in the leg during the same incident has been hospitalized and is in good condition.

According to ABC reports, Pryor had just visited her grandparents and was walking to a nearby bus stop when she was shot by an individual in an approaching vehicle.
Pryor just won the months-long Mario Tricoci “Make Me a Model” competition in September.

“We are saddened and broken-hearted to learn of the tragic passing of Kaylyn Pryor. Our hearts and prayers go out to her family. This touches every one of us who knew and worked with her. Kaylyn will be remembered for her kind and generous spirit. She truly was beautiful inside and out.” Mario Tricoci said in a statement.
