Mom Charged With Child Endangerment After Car Crash in Evanston
Police say Dana M. Hancock had her 6-year-old daughter in the car when she rear ended another vehicle last week.

EVANSTON, IL - An Evanston woman has been charged with a misdemeanor count related to child endangerment in connection to an incident in which she allegedly drove under the influence of prescription medication with her 6-year-old daughter in the car.
Police arrested Dana M. Hancock, of the 600 block of Hinman Avenue on Nov. 30, according to a report from the Evanston Review. She is accused of driving a 2010 Subaru into the back of a 2016 Honda in the 1200 block of Hinman Avenue with the young girl in the car.
Hancock was unsteady on her feet, unfocused, was confused and had glassy eyes, police said. She admitted to taking prescription medication earlier that day and was also handed a charge of driving under the influence.
