Monday is Busiest Mailing Day of the Year for Post Office
Find out the last day you can mail something for delivery by Christmas Day.

Chicago-area mail carriers will be delivering on Christmas Day, says the U.S. Postal Service. Today, Monday, is the busiest mailing day of the year — with 8.3 million cards, parcels and letters moving through the postal system around Chicago.
Nationally, 640 million items are expected to be processed Monday. This coming Saturday is your deadline to ensure delivery by Christmas, according to the postal system.
“The Postal Service will be out making deliveries every single day during the holiday season, including Christmas Day,” said Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe. “During the holidays, no carrier makes more deliveries to more places than the Postal Service, and this year, we’re raising the bar with enhanced tracking and Sunday delivery.”
