Morton Civic Center Walkway Under Construction Until September 11
Asphalt grinding will follow the conclusion of the project.

Walkway construction at the Morton Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Ave., is scheduled to take place from Tuesday, September 1 through Friday, September 11. Work will be completed in two phases; at least one lower level entrance will be accessible at all times.
The work is part of the green infrastructure rehabilitation of the Morton Civic Center parking lot.

After construction of the walkways, asphalt grinding of the remaining drive aisles of the parking lot is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, September 12 and asphalt paving is scheduled for Saturday, September 19. Construction of rain gardens and parking lot landscaping will begin in early September and is expected to be completed by mid-October.
