2017 Music City Bowl: Northwestern v. Kentucky

What you need to know for the Wildcats versus Wildcats showdown at the 2017 Music City Bowl.

EVANSTON, IL — The college football regular season has ended and 40 Bowl Games are set to kick off across the country from mid to late December. And this year, they include an all-Wildcat showdown, as the Northwestern University Wildcats (9-3) will take on the University of Kentucky Wildcats (7-5) in Nashville on Friday, Dec. 29 at 3:30 p.m.

The (purple) Wildcats of Northwestern, ranked No. 20, will be making their first-ever trip to Nashville for a bowl game after closing out the regular season with a seven-game winning streak.

It's Northwestern's eighth bowl trip under Head Coach Pat Fitzgerald and it follows last year's victory in the Pinstripe Bowl, which was just the third win in Wildcat history.
