New Northwestern Baseball Scoreboard Could be Blacked Out
City Council will consider blacking out the new scoreboard at Rocky Miller Park for any non-Northwestern baseball events.
EVANSTON, IL - Northwestern University’s new Rocky Miller Park scoreboard may be blacked out during all games other than Wildcat baseball home games.
City Council members are expected to consider the city proposal tonight, according to Evanston Now. A memo regarding tonight’s agenda offered no reason for the requested blackout, although a number of nearby Wilmette residents have voiced concern over several aspects related to the scoreboard including the effect it may have on property values and the threat it could pose to migratory birds.
