No Raise Planned in Evanston's Minimum Wage
Despite reported talks, plans are to keep the rate at $8.25 an hour locally.

No action has been taken in the city of Evanston in regards to raising the minimum wage.
Despite talks between low-income earners and city aldermen, there has been no movement toward raising the wage, which sits at $8.25 an hour in Evanston, according to Evanston Now.
That mark is equal to the state of Illinois mandated minimum.

Nationally, the city of Seattle has agreed to gradually raise theirs to $15 an hour and nearby Chicago has agreed on a $13 an hour minimum wage.
