NorthShore To Offer Free Skin Cancer Screenings at Skokie Hospital

Appointments are required for examinations scheduled for 9-11:30 a.m. on May 3.

NorthShore University HealthSystem is offering free skin cancer screenings at Skokie Hospital, 9600 Gross Point Rd. from 9-11:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 3.

According to a Chicago Tribune community post, the screenings, taken by appointment only, include a visual examination of the skin performed by dermatologists.

Results will be given immediately along with a recommended follow up if necessary. Individuals are asked to wear a bathing suit under their clothing for the examination. Screening is not appropriate for individuals previously diagnosed or currently under treatment for skin cancer.

To register for a skin cancer screening online, visit northshore.org/calendar or call (847) 570-5020. Please come no sooner than 15 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment to fill out registration documents and sign a consent form.
