Northwestern Grad Student Missing: Police

CHICAGO, IL — A Northwestern University graduate student went missing over the weekend in Lincoln Park, according to police.

Peter Salvino, 25, disappeared from the 800 block of West Lill Avenue after leaving a party in the 2400 block of North Geneva Terrace, Chicago police said. His last known contact was via FaceTime about 12:15 a.m. Sunday, according to police.

Salvino is 6 feet, 1 inch tall; weighs 190 pounds; and has brown hair and eyes, police said. He was last known to be wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and maroon pants, according to police.

Salvino is a doctoral candidate studying neuroscience at Northwestern. Family and friends, including Salvino’s father and girlfriend, took to social media Sunday, asking the public to be on the lookout.
