Northwestern Law School Enrollment Increases
Bucking the Chicago-area trend, Evanston's university sees an uptick after three straight years of sliding numbers.

While most Chicago-area law schools reported declines in first-year student enrollment this fall, Northwestern was one of just two to buck the trend.
Crain’s Chicago Business reports that although the school showed an enrollment decline from 2010-2013, Northwestern University’s School of Lawn showed an uptick of 6.1 percent from 2013 to 2014. Loyola University Chicago School of the Law was the only other institution included in the study to see an increase during that span, seeing 11 percent more enrollees in 2014.
Other schools listed in Crain’s report that showed a decline at an average of 7 percent include the University of Illinois, Northern Illinois University, DePaul University, ITT Chicago-Kent College of Law and the University of Chicago.
