Northwestern May Get Huge Donation from Buffett

Robert Buffett, Warren's sister, could mean big things for school's global studies center.

Northwestern University may be on the brink of receiving its largest donation ever.

Crain’s Chicago Business’ Shia Kapos says the donor will be Roberta Buffett, the youngest sister of billionaire Warren Buffett.

While the amount is not certain, Kapos says, expect an official announcement to come from the University on Wednesday. If it is to be the largest donation in school history, the gift will need to bore more than $75 million, the amount given in 2002 from the Joseph and Bessie Feinberg Foundation.
