NU's Danielle Williams Tosses Perfect Game
Danielle Williams continued her fine season with a perfect game Friday.

The Northwestern Wildcats traveled to the University of Iowa for a four game series with the Hawkeyes. The Wildcats got off to a pretty good start. In fact, it was a perfect start.
Pitcher Danielle Williams did not allow any base runners and struck out six on her way to perfection. It was the fifth perfect game in Northwestern history.
Rachel Lewis hit a solo shot in the first inning to give NU a 1-0 lead, which is all Williams would need. The offense wasn't done though.

In the sixth Lewis singled and scored on a Jordyn Rudd double. With Emily Bartz now on base, Morgan Newport homered to put NU up 4-0.
In the seventh, Nikki Cuchran, Lauren Boyd, and Iowa native Skyler Shellmyer walked. Lewis drove in Cuchran, A two-RBI single by Rudd finished the scoring.

Williams improved to 11-2, while the Wildcats upped their record to 19-6. Iowa dropped to 14-11.
