Overnight Closure on Asbury Ave. Later This Month
Northbound traffic will be detoured while sewer work takes place.
EVANSTON, IL - Sewer work will close Asbury Avenue overnight later in April.
The closure will be implemented for northbound non-local traffic between Church and Emerson streets from 8 p.m. on Tuesday. April 26 to 7 a.m. the following morning, according to a city memo.
Detours will be in place via Ridge Avenue.
The project involves a "liner that is inserted into the public sewer by equipment staged at ground level," the memo stated.
The entire process takes about 10 hours to complete.
