Pair Attacked Man Waiting in Line at McDonald's on Howard Street: Cops

Witnesses say two people accused a man of being a rapist then beat him when he was in line at an Evanston McDonald's.

Witnesses told police that a man and a woman confronted the victim while in line Thursday at 10:33 a.m. at the restaurant at 1117 Howard St., according to the Daily Northwestern. The woman told the man “that’s the guy who did it” and the man accused him of being a rapist and started beating him up.

The victim suffered multiple bruises on his face, and told police he recognized the woman from the encounter but did not know her name.

Police are looking for both suspects. The man is between 5’9” and 5’10” and weighs between 160 and 165 pounds. The woman is between 5’5” and 5’7” tall and weighs between 135 and 145 pounds.
