Parks Assistant Director Headed for Prospect Heights
Christina Ferraro will be the executive director of the Prospect Heights Park District after 15 years in Evanston.

EVANSTON, IL - An Evanston Parks, Recreation and Community Services administrator will leave at the end of the year to head another north suburban park district.
Christina Ferraro, a 15-year city of Evanston worker who is now the assistant director for the department, has been appointed the executive director of the Prospect Heights Park District according to Evanston City Manager Wally Bobkiewicz.
Ferraro has served as manager of senior programs and most recently as Assistant Director responsible for the department’s community services programs. She began in her current role with the city in 2013.

“Christina’s dedication to the residents of Evanston is unmatched,” Bobkiewicz said. “Her leadership, good humor and resident focus will be greatly missed.”
Among Ferraro’s numerous accomplishments, according to Bobkiewicz, was “her key role in the relocation and construction of the Levy Center as well as the creation of our outstanding senior services program we enjoy today” and “planning efforts with the Age Friendly Evanston Task Force.”
