'Party for the Planet' Planned Friday in Evanston

Evanston Green Ball will be held at the Levy Center.

EVANSTON, IL - The fifth annual Evanston Green Ball will take place from 7-10:30 p.m. on Friday, May 13 at the Levy Center, 300 Dodge Ave. Proceeds will support the educational programs and operations at the Evanston Ecology Center, according to a news release.

The event, put on by the Evanston Environmental Association and the city, will feature live music and a “Taste of Evanston” with food and drink from several of the most popular local restaurants, caterers and breweries. The band “Ear Bandy” will perform.

“The Green Ball is the best party in town," EEA President Dick Peach said. “It's the most fun you'll ever have supporting programs that keep Evanston green and educate kids on why it's important to protect the planet."

Tickets are $75, and that includes food, drink and entertainment. Buy them here, special prices are available for groups of five or more.
